Understanding Cloud Storage and File Backups
Online storage makes files available from supported devices. A recoverable file copy is a separate consideration.
What cloud storage does
Cloud storage allows files to be uploaded, organized, and retrieved using an account. Services vary in how they handle folders, access controls, and file transfers.
Why a file copy matters
Being able to download a file does not necessarily mean another independent copy exists. Review whether the service creates secondary copies, when those copies are available, and what restoration options apply.
What synchronization means
Synchronization keeps selected data consistent across devices or locations. It can also carry unintended changes across devices. Do not assume a storage service includes desktop synchronization unless that capability is specifically documented.
Questions worth asking
Can you inspect file availability? Does the service show integrity checks? Is secondary replication tracked separately? What happens when a file is deleted? How can you access your account securely?
How TuckR89 Cloud approaches file status
TuckR89 Cloud distinguishes primary availability, integrity verification, and secondary replication status. Eligible files may be restored from Trash during the applicable recovery window. For details, read the file backup overview and features page.
